FORT BELVOIR, Va. (Army News Service, May 4, 2007) -- The Army
Program Executive Office Soldier will soon provide an improved Army
combat shirt to Soldiers deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan.
The flame-resistant long-sleeved shirt, which retains the
moisture-wicking capability, breathability, and durability of other
components in the ACU, also has many of its other features, including
cargo pockets, infrared identification tabs, and hook-and-loop
fasteners for the American flag.

BENNING, Ga.--April 21, 2007--Master Sgt. Walt Zajkowski and Maj. Liam
Collins, of the U.S. Army Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, N.C.,
show remarkable determination and skill on day three of the Army's Best
Ranger Competition. The team finished first at the Camp Darby obstacle
course and the Helocast, making them the winners of the 2007 Army Best
Ranger Competition.

4/20/2007 - EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska (AFNEWS) -- The
year's first Red Flag-Alaska ended April 20 after two weeks of intense,
air-combat training over Alaska's mountain ranges.
Training in a multi-service, multi-platform, combat operations exercise
involving coalition forces was an opportunity that cannot be
underemphasized, said Lt. Col. Eddie Osteen, the 353rd Combat Training
Squadron commander and the host squadron commander.

FORT MYER, Va.,
(Army News Service, April 10, 2007) - Gen. George W. Casey Jr. today
became the 36th chief of staff of the Army, assuming the position from
Gen. Peter J. Schoomaker.
Gen. Casey was the first commander of the Multi-National Force-Iraq, a
coalition of more than 30 countries, until February. He had served as
Gen. Schoomaker's vice chief of staff before deploying to Iraq in 2003
to assume command of the coalition.
