WASHINGTON (Army News Service, March 1, 2010) -- Soldiers deploying to Afghanistan will be issued the new "MultiCam" fire-resistant Army Combat Uniform complete with new Mountain Combat Boots and MultiCam-patterned Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment, or MOLLE, gear beginning in July.

WASHINGTON (Army News Service, March 2, 2010) -- The Army released a request for proposal for the Ground Combat Vehicle Feb. 25 -- marking an official start for defense contractors to begin competing for the right to build the service's next combat vehicle.

PICATINNY ARSENAL, N.J. (Feb. 22, 2010) -- With the surge to Afghanistan now underway, thousands of XM-153 Common Remotely Operated Weapons Stations, known as CROWS, will soon be taking flight to strengthen U.S. Army forces in theater.

WASHINGTON (Army News Service, Feb. 23, 2010) -- The supply requirement in Afghanistan will dramatically increase this year according to the Army's top logistician, and he said the Army is testing a new airdrop system to help meet the demand.

AL ASAD AIRBASE, Iraq (Army News Service, Feb. 17, 2010) -- U.S. Army paratroopers took a first step toward a combined U.S. - Iraqi airborne training exercise when 183 paratroopers jumped onto Iraqi soil here Feb. 12 as part of their sustained airborne training.
